Orlando Radio: Salem To Acquire Disney's WDYZ

Radio Disney has found a buyer to its Orlando property WDYZ 990 AM.  Salem Communications, which already owns three AM station in the market, will add a fourth to its portfolio once the purchase gets FCC apperoval.

Sale Communications is paying $1.3M for the station, which is the flagship station for nearby Walt Disney World.

WDYZ has 50Kw Day-DA and 10Kw Night-DA.  Salem also owns WORL 660 AM The anwers, Business WBZW 1520 AM and Christian Teaching WTLN 950 AM.

The WDYZ sale is the fourth announced sale of a Radio Disney station. Houston-market KMIC 1590 AM is being to ethnic broadcaster DAIJ Media for $3.2 million and Detroit-market WFDF 910 AM is being sold to Word Network for $3 million. And In NYC, Radio Disney has filed with the FCC the sale of its WQEW 1560 AM NYC for a Reported $12.95M.
