Jeb Bush Calls Media 'Crack Addicts'

Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush called the media "crack addicts" on Sunday (March 10th) when he was asked on NBC's Meet the Press whether he or fellow Florida Republican Senator Marco Rubio is more likely to end up being president one day.

Bush, who made the rounds of five of the Sunday morning talk shows yesterday to promote his new book on immigration, told host David Gregory in response, "Man, you guys are crack addicts. You really are obsessed with all this politics."

Gregory answered, "You know, I've been called a lot of things..." and Bush shot back, "OK, heroin addict. Is that better? Put aside the politics for a moment. We've got big challenges, and Marco Rubio, to his credit, is working on those. And he deserves a lot of credit for it, and I'm very proud of him."

The relationship between Bush and Rubio -- both of them potential 2016 GOP presidential candidates -- came under scrutiny this week with the release of Bush's book, in which he says he doesn't support a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants, even though that's something Rubio is supporting in the bipartisan immigration proposal he's working on in the Senate. One day later, Bush reversed himself and said he'd endorse a path to citizenship if certain conditions were met, and he also pointed out that while Rubio supports such a path now, he didn't when Bush was writing the book.
